Energy Auditing Services

SBP offers you a qualified partner related to energy end-use, efficiency and identification of strategies for improving the energy performance of the facility.  SBP works with your team to identify actionable opportunities that will save energy, enhance comfort, and/or improve operational procedures at the facility.  SBP offers two distinct energy audit levels consistent with LEED for Building Operations & Maintenance (LEED-EBOM), ASHRAE Level I and Level II protocol and guidelines.

ASHRAE Level I

A “walk through” is a general review of a facility designed to identify areas of energy inefficiency including low-cost/no-cost measures and potential capital-intensive measures that would require further study.  The audit report briefly describes energy conservation measures (ECMs) and energy efficiency opportunities (EEOs) with a simple payback analysis for the “low hanging fruit.” This level of audit may not be sufficient for reaching a final decision on capital-intensive measures but will be adequate for prioritizing efforts for future energy efficiency projects and a potential follow up detailed Level II – Investment Grade Audit analysis.

ASHRAE Level II

Investment Grade Audit includes the preliminary energy use analysis and ASHRAE Level I analysis, but also includes more detailed energy calculations and financial analysis of proposed energy efficiency measures. In addition to the activities listed in the Level I scope, SBP offers energy efficiency measure development cost and discounted payback analysis utilizing calibrated whole building energy modeling for capital-intensive measures.
