650 Massachusetts Avenue, a 458300 square foot building, has been awarded LEED Gold certification under Brookfield’s Custom Volume Program. The building is conveniently located three blocks from the Gallery Place Chinatown Metro Station in downtown Washington, D.C., incentivizing occupants to commute via alternative transportation. This project utilized the Brookfield Volume Program, which allows the project to streamline the submission for multiple Brookfield buildings by using documents that were pre-approved by the USGBC. The program encourages finding valuable synchronicities among environmental measures such as cleaning, pest, and waste management policies, which creates a uniform and simplified submission method for the project. SBP provided comprehensive LEED for Existing Building Operations & Maintenance consulting services for the project.
