Springline Architects

The Springhouse Office Building is a 2-story LEED Platinum Certified office building located in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. The 2,800 sf building is home to Springline Architects who also designed the facility. SBP provided comprehensive energy modeling, commissioning, and LEED consulting services for the project. The project was featured in Real Life.

SBP performed detailed whole building energy modeling analysis throughout the design process including incorporation of energy efficiency measures, energy consulting, and LEED EAp2 and EAc1 Performance, LEED Documentation support and troubleshooting services. The project incorporated on-site renewable energy in the form of photovoltaic panels contributing 19% to the energy cost savings and achieved all 7 of the EAc2 points. Enhanced commissioning services for the project were also performed by SBP. In order to achieve LEED Platinum certification, SBP helped the design and construction team navigate the LEED project requirements with a focus on maximizing points in the Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, and Energy and Atmosphere categories.
