Flint Hill Middle School

Located in Oakton, Virginia, the Peterson Middle School was built to enhance the learning experience of students in the Flint Hill School system. The new construction was designed with collaboration and creativity in mind, and include an innovation lab and open floor plan to support flexible learning. The facility utilizes many energy efficient technologies to lower its carbon footprint, including variable refrigerant flow heat pumps, heat recovery outdoor air units, and passive lighting. SBP performed a custom commissioning scope and provided expertise to ensure the technologically innovative systems reached the full potential envisioned during the school’s design.
