Wiley DC is a 5-story commercial interior fit-out within the 2050 M Street Core & Shell building. The project is located in a highly developed commercial and residential area within the heart of Washington DC. The original goal was to achieve LEED Certified, which we met. SBP provided comprehensive LEED v4 consulting services for the project. SBP provided strategic sustainability planning throughout the design and construction process.
Many sustainability designs were implements, here are a few highlights: 1. The project is located in an active urban area with access to quality transportation 2. Covered bicycle storage facilities have been provided to serve 5.5% of occupants. 3. Incorporates high efficiency plumbing fixtures & EnergyStar appliances 4. Efficient lighting & energy system 5. Prioritized the selection of low-emitting building materials with transparency documentation.
