655 New York Avenue is a 768,000 square foot trophy office and retail project in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood of downtown Washington, DC. The completed development, which spans an entire city block, incorporates and blends 19 existing historic buildings with a new 11-story glass office building. SP worked with the building owner on five (5) certifications beginning in the design phase and continuing after construction was completed. SP provided sustainability consulting and commissioning services to the Base Building as they worked towards LEED v2009 CS certification and continue to support their efforts towards a WELL Health and Safety rating. SP continues to provide the Brookfield DC Corporate Office with sustainability consulting, commissioning, and energy modeling services as they work towards LEED v4 CI, WELL v2 Pilot, and Fitwel v2.1 certifications.
