LEED EBOM
799 NW 9th Street, a 10-story office building located in a central business district of DC, achieved the LEED Gold RE-Certification. This facility earned a LEED EBOM Platinum (2019). The building implemented sustainability strategies, such as installing LED lighting, upgrading to low-flow plumbing fixtures, and instituting green policies for waste removal, cleaning practices, and pest management. SBP helped property management, engineers and vendors navigate through the initial planning, green program development, credit maintenance, performance period organized from the original LEED EBOM v2009 Certification. This guidance assisted the Brookfield team to appropriately track all building practices and document credits during the LEED application preparation, reviews, responses, and ultimate credit approvals.
This project worked closely with engaged tenants and celebrated the first community solar program in the District as well as pursue a new LEED Pilot credit for this strategy under social equity.
