BUILDING HIGHLIGHTS

Covington and Burling, a global law firm, is fitting out their space in Washington DC using the LEED Commercial Interiors standards. To aid in maintaining a smooth certification process, the two Covington and Burling buildings, located on the same campus, are using a Master Site approach. This streamlined method allows the buildings to earn credit for shared attributes, but still receive separate LEED Certifications. SBP worked with the design team, scheduling sustainability goals and determining potential achievements, as well as performing the energy audit, enhanced commissioning, and reviewing the specifications and drawings.
