Knox Road Student Housing

Knox Road is a new 392,400 SF student housing development located adjacent to the southeast side of the University of Maryland Campus. Designed to support student living, the building includes 341 units to house approximately 788 residents, along with 20,000 SF of retail space and 248 garage parking spaces across nine floors. The project achieved LEED Gold certification, with a strong focus on Health & Wellness and Equity, aligning with USGBC’s core pillars. Emphasizing Indoor Environmental Quality, the team prioritized ventilation, lighting, and thermal comfort to enhance student well-being. Additionally, the project achieved significant sustainability milestones, including a 33% reduction in indoor water usage and 19.3% savings in total site energy costs, showcasing a commitment to high-performance, sustainable design.
