Three Flint Hill is an 8-story 180,000 sf office building located on Jermantown Road in Oakton, Virginia. This building is the first major renovation project in the local area to achieve LEED Gold Certification. As part of this effort, SBP provided whole building energy modeling and energy efficiency consulting services during the design process followed by commissioning of the the installed HVAC equipment & controls. The project earned (6) LEED EA Credit 1 points for Optimized Energy Performance relative to ASHRAE 90.1-2007 and LEED whole building energy modeling protocol. The overall project was approved by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) and Certified in February 2012. Additionally, Three Flint Hill was awarded the Washington Business Journal – Rehab/Reuse Winner 2012 and 2011 NAIOP Award of Excellence – Best Building Renovation Capital Improvement.
