Brightview at South River

Brightview on South River is a 64-unit senior living and Alzheimer’s care facility located in Edgewater, Maryland. This project was awarded a LEED Gold Certification from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in March of 2012. This is the first senior care facility to earn this achievement in the State of Maryland and is the first LEED project for the Brightview community. As part of this effort, SBP provided whole building energy modeling and energy efficiency consulting services during the design process followed by commissioning of the the installed HVAC equipment & controls. The project earned (3) LEED EA Credit 1 points for Optimized Energy Performance relative to ASHRAE 90.1-2004 and LEED whole building energy modeling protocol.
