SBP SELECTED TO SPEAK AT GREENBUILD 2011

Dan Wilcox of SBP will be part of a panel presenting at the 2011 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Toronto, Ontario. Dan will be presenting alongside colleagues regarding the intent and execution of LEED EQ Prerequisite 1 and discuss the energy impact of increased ventilation air volumes in different climates. He will also be discussing the dynamic impact between actual occupancy demand driven ventilation vs ASHRAE 62.1-2007 requirements vs the 30% increase in ventilation requirement for LEED points. He will review the overall culture of new design when compared to actual building operation and the potential energy cost savings.

ASHRAE/AIA BALTIMORE CHAPTER JOINT PROGRAM

Mr. Babcock will be part of the Baltimore Chapters of ASHRAE and AIA January Program: Integrated Design for High Performance Buildings. The technical session will provide a brief overview on the thought and design process for achieving a high performance building design including a discussion on:

 

  • How whole building energy modeling is used as a tool to help the design team and owner make informed investment grade decisions.
  • How early energy analysis helps to facilitate the dialogue across design disciplines.
